Well, goats are gangsters by nature. The frog looks like everyone’s 1970s grandma, taking a drag before yelling at the kids to get out of the goddamn house.

It’s the reason I started! Look at how cool that hen looks.
Its power knows no bounds!
Oh, I agree. The only eloquence I’ve been seeing is from those who really seem to grasp how bad this all this
Actually, no.
I see things differently: “America will triumph over you” definitely strikes me as a call to arms.
Agree. Those are some sturdy babies. Their little bellies are just killing me.
Thanks- will have to check out!
I’m reading the latest by Sophie Hannah, Keep Her Safe. Love this author! I just finished Strange Weather, a book of novellas by Stephen King’s own offspring, Joe Hill, and I highly enjoyed that as well.
Man, Brennan’s is one masterful tweet. It illustrates something I’ve come to realize in recent months: a sense of urgency enhances eloquence. Things have been way too eloquent lately.
Well, but as you insinuate here, a lot of that grievance isn’t based in reality- in people who either don’t recognize the advantages they were born with or believe they are somehow entitled to them. Sympathy has its limits, I guess I’m saying; there comes a point where all it does is enable.
You may believe this is just another crappy president. I do not. I suppose I could just say nothing as the TV starts blaring one of 45's anti-Mexican rants when my Mexican American nephews are in the room- just, as you would advise, turn off the TV and go about my day -but somehow, telling them this isn’t normal seems…
I make a point of telling my nephews “This isn’t normal. I’ve never seen a President act anything like this.”
Exactly. There’s something almost disrespectful about assuming people only do hateful things because they are such frail hopeless cases. Treat them like adults and give them the blame.
There are liberal types out there who believe that the only reason people do horrible, hateful things- such as, say, vote for Donald Trump- is because they themselves are suffering victims. I just don’t buy it. I am well acquainted with the fact pain can make us lash out in some pretty unproductive ways, but I also…
I had the opposite experience- it was only after Native American ancestry came up in my own spit test that my grandmother confirmed it. I don’t believe she was hiding anything, she just- didn’t think it was relevant?
There are a lot of inconvenient truths surrounding mental illness: I’ve seen mental health advocates hotly contest, for example, any insinuations that Donald Trump has mental health issues, saying he doesn’t “deserve” the mentally ill label. But the truth is conditions that afflict the brain aren’t a measure of your…
Yeah, both my beloved cat Cooper and Ira, the kitten I got after he died, are/were long-haired, but other than that tidbit, the differences couldn’t be more stark. Cooper was a dream cat, loving as could be, while Ira is basically a long-haired serpent with venom to spare. The fact that I can love them both so…
I remember someone asking me if the kitten I’d just gotten was just like the cat I’d lost a few weeks before. I replied, “He’s nothing like him, and that’s just the way I wanted it.” It just seemed right somehow.
