There's a really handy app called AllSubway (for iOS, at least) that's great for this. It has subway maps for a whole bunch of cities around the world, and some commuter trains as well. I've used it in London, Paris (RER and Metro), Brussels, and San Francisco to good effect. It's not perfect or fancy, and you'll

Very cool — please add Giant to the "coming soon" category (big in mid-Atlantic — I think it's also the same as Stop & Shop in NJ, or at least they have the same logo).

THANK YOU. Had been stuck in 2d mode for months with no idea how to fix it.

I also switched from a Braun (older Activator 8950) to the SensoTouch 3D. The Philips is much better. Not all that fair in my case since I was replacing a much older Braun, but I'm a big fan of the SensoTouch after about 8 months. Closer shave, less irritation, and better tech. My Epson artisan that died on me had dryout problems,

D'oh - looks like this does not do automatic double-sided scanning through the ADF. My mistake - thought it did. Still highly recommend it.

You are right....I was mistaken about that, apparently. Guess my memory isn't as reliable as I thought - thanks for pointing that out.

Check out the Brother MFCJ870DW that I posted about. It is an inkjet but ticks all your other boxes.

I've managed to build up an adequate emergency fund and am now trying to save for a down payment on a home. But it seems like that down payment nest egg should be doing more for me than just sitting in a savings account earning less than 1%. What would you recommend as a safe strategy to grow that money in this

VideoDrive is another good program that does this type of thing. It isn't free beyond trial, but is more or less fully automatic once you get it set up.
