Fair point, but it’s tricky to complain when the driver knows where you live. Back when phone books were a thing, my roommate and I had a driver look up my name and number and continually harass us by phone (he had carried her bags to the front door, where my name was displayed next to the buzzer).

Yeah, they did bring it on themselves, but obvi not all of them are like that. I mostly feel bad about the expensive medallion they purchased. But not enough to risk my well-being.

This depresses me. I mostly use public transportation and drive my car about once/week. When I do need a ride, I no longer can use taxis because I have been harassed so often by the drivers about not paying cash or they are simply nuts. So I begrudgingly use a Lyft.
