Wouldn’t a local Ford Dealer’s Parts & Service department have had the parts he needed? I’ve been able to get ANYTHING from them, and they’re knowledgeable. For example, my 2000 Ford Focus ZX3's HVAC knobs broke off, and my local dealer actually had a couple on hand.

I’m never that close, but it’s far enough away my face doesn’t get hit by an airbag, but close enough that my arms have some slack.
