Not always, but it can happen. There are some instances where rallies have cars crashed after taking one corner too fast and smashing into what would’ve been the outside of the corner but is also the inside of the following corner... Plus, oversteer could direct a rally car towards the inside of a corner into a crowd.

Cockpit domes would need to be studied thoroughly as they have to be opened after a crash. like others have said, how are they gonna open if the vehicle comes to a rest upside down? what about if the car is on fire?

I was really rooting for the rookies in this race, with both Sage and Gabby Chaves having led laps. When Sage spun, it was the first time i’d ever shouted NOOO! at a IndyCar race on TV. Then I saw another car was resting by the inside wall and thought “What happened to him?”.

Most tracks have allowed kerbs to be counted as part of the track, and Turn 4 at Spa is certainly tricky as it isn’t easily visible until you’re right on top of it, literally. So, if a car is still on the kerb, some tracks or FIA will let it slide; if the car is completely inside the turn AND not on the kerb stripes…
