Well yeah, after he absolutely crushed it on Logan, it’s clear that Mangold is hella talented and really just “gets” it. At this point I’m willing to check out anyth—

You are probably talking about Real ID, which you need for flying (even domestic) and entering some secure facilities. If I recall correctly, some states satisfy the Real ID requirement with their DL processes, but others don’t, meaning you need to do extra work if you want to fly (of which getting a passport is one

I feel like there needs to be a nod to Bushido Blade on the OG PlayStation.

The AVClub editorial team is fiction.

I’m pretty sure “true-crime” is supposed to be reserved for crime stories that are true.  This is fiction.

Hey now, this is the most valuable content AV Club has had all week.

Nothing against him, but why didn’t they just cast an American in the Catching Fire role? If the role doesn’t need a name, then why hire a hunky nobody with the wrong accent when there’s surely plenty of handsome nobodies with the right accent to choose from?

I’ve heard about this Winston-at-the-beginning script before, and I’d kinda like to read it.

Well now I’m not sure if you even read it.

I have that exact same excerpt in my clipboard ready to paste, but you beat me to it.

Yes, there were a few points.

Though he biffed those, the way he went out at the end was actually slightly redemptive. It was far too late to make much right, but he did own his bullshit and stop making excuses before taking out a bunch of bad guys.

Exactly.  The doc is so compelling, why /would/ you need to fictionalize it?

Wikipedia says yes, the same actor played Phil’s brother.  I don’t think the brother character died.  I’m not sure there’d be much interest in him though.

So when you wrote that you “hope they bring back” in the present tense, I guess you mean you’re hoping they can bring them back from them from the dead?

Uh, so I guess you don’t know that the actors for Harry, Christine, and Mac have all died, huh?

So this is what the Reddit comments kept vaguely referring to.

It’s pretty rough so far. de Beaufort and Lucretta are playing way too broad. Talwalker’s character offers nothing of interest yet. The laugh track feels more fake than usual. Rauch’s take doesn’t quite fit; maybe if she dials back the cheeriness...?
