So, if you sleep with one dude, you're bi or gay status is fixed forever?

I can appreciate that, as long as people are cognizant of it.
Fair enough. I'm just saying that the source material doesn't actually give terribly strong evidence for Constantine's bisexuality. It does show repeatedly that he predominantly goes for chicks, however.
I'm just saying, the people claiming that Goyer is ignoring the source material don't actually seem to be familiar with said source material.
Your link doesn't exactly back up what you said.
Challenge: Give 2 instances from the 300 issues of Hellblazer where Constantine had male partners.
Let's make this more true to the example at hand:
Challenge: Give at least 2 instances in the 300 issues of Hellblazer where Constantine has had a male romantic partners.
“Within this tome of three decades [of comics] there might have been one or two issues where he’s seen getting out of bed with a man."
Maybe it got better after that. When I quit, it seemed that the writing was still transitioning from DiDio to DeM; I think they were co-writing yet.
Swamp Thing suddenly got great after Soule took over the writing.
Did The Phantom Stranger get good at some point? I dropped it during the Blight crossover, but wasn't really into it even before that.
You probably read about the sequel plans in Tyler Labine's Random Roles interview right on this very site.
Just pick up Soule's issues (19+). They're worth it.
I highly recommend picking it up where Charles Soule started it (19+). His first is a 2-parter (I think) with guest star John Constantine, and it's just ok, but after that the book really takes off.
100% agree with this. The "Rotworld" crossover was not great, and its 6-month length only exacerbated it.
"after trying and failing to get it made with Tom Cruise"
Argh, it's down. Here's a working one:
I feel like this story is incomplete without mentioning that two of the story's principals are married to each other.
Came here to echo this. While Moore provided the initial germ of creation, his contributions are DWARFED by the many writers that came after them.
