When these came out I thought they were really cool, best looking sedan out there. They may look anonymous now (they sort of do to me too) but they didn’t then. Anyway, I bought one, I think it was a 96 S, and this was 2000 ish. They hadn’t depreciated down to affordability for me, except the one I bought.

CP for me. My admittedly limited experience with the Millenia model and especially the engine revealed that some pieces are made of unobtanium. I’ll pass.

This thing got like 1/100th of the buildup and fanfare the Bronco got, but imo, is 100x more important.

Damn shame they won’t put a sunroof in these. Yes, I know, it is a light sporty car but I spend more time driving on the street than I do on a track. Lack of a factory sunroof is the same damn reason I didn’t buy the FJ Cruiser when I was looking at them.

Disagree on BMW (if you get a real one and not something FWD Mini based). The 330i is a blast to drive and very quick considering it’s the lowest engine offering. You’re paying the lowest price for a car engineered to be profitable at $40k+ vs paying $50k for some loaded common car that was engineered to be profitable…

How much does a Coyote + 10R80 + driveshaft/diff/subframes/accessories etc weight? That has to be ~1200lbs. A 500lb weight gain to go EV doesn’t sound that bad. This is probably the largest pack on offer too, so the short range option, should it be included, might close the gap to close to nil.
