I know what it’s like to be a Democrat in Indiana. While I live in Indiana for the sweet household income my husband and I enjoy, it’s not the hellhole you may think it is. Most people I know are conservative Republicans, but they don’t care at all that I’m a liberal.

My point is that the protest vote even happened in Indiana. At all. But I'm sure you know best.

That was not my point. My point is that Indiana is deeply conservative. Socially and politically. If this state can go big for two outsiders, everything is up for grabs. The electorate is changing.

You’re right, of course. Creepy Ted dropping out is more entertaining. But Gawker, like other national news outlets, continues to miss the sea change evident in American voters.
