The backlash already started post last Sunday's Golden Globes.

Based on yours and Lankypanky's comments, it seems as though there was more to her performance than just costume changes. I guess I'm just curious because Lupita's performance as Patsey was one of the most haunting things I've seen and I was stunned at her loss to JL at the Golden Globes.

I actually agree that she is a very good actress. I thought she was great in SLP but I would have never guessed she would win the Oscar for it though. If anything, I thought Bradley Cooper had that on lock because his performance was much more nuanced, in my opinion.
