This was always my worry when looking at Zane’s skill trees. The prophecy is fulfilled. 

I play both ways. With friends and solo. For me, a big part of the fun is building out my skill tree and experimenting with powers. The guns and story is secondary. So far. I’m having fun. Your review really makes me want to play this but I feel like I never mastered the last one. I was doing great till the endgame when I realized my bow and skill with it weren’t doling out the huge numbers I needed. So I switched to the insect glaive and thought I was doing great for a while until I hit another wall.
