It looks like it’s going to be not unlike Destiny matchmaking.  You can have a squad of four folks, and be in the same area as up to 16 people.  You can either randomly join and just have a chance of running into people, or specifically join on a player and be immediately transported to the system their in.  At least…

I thought they changed this to being on by default with the new patch? I guess they didn’t?

Saw an article about this and got excited. Little let down there wasn’t more to this. I LOVE Planet Base, so hoping this takes that groundwork and expands upon it in every way. Would love to hear more about this game if there’s more to share
