Yeah, I wasn't convinced that was Ashi either. Especially since I want to say her mask came off before she fell in the last episode.

I got a kick out of the Lone Wolf and Cub reference in the moment when Jack first put Ashi on his back.

Straight from the review:

Probably because O'Reilly gave him something new to do.

Also, since he left SNL, his philosophy towards sketch acting seems to have taken a turn towards Tracy Jordan's in the 30 Rock live episode. Why commit to the character/premise when you get bigger laughs from breaking before you can even get your first line out?

You forget that while she may be a Duchess, she's also… a woman!

As soon as I posted that I knew someone would catch me on the two-strip thing. But in my defense, even that was still a pretty fringe thing in 1928.

You know what? You might be right.

Serafin's pretty gross, I've got to give you that. (On top of the lying, hypnotism, and not taking no for an answer, he calls every woman 'Niña,' which, while technically a name, also translates to 'little girl.')

So it was. I learned a thing today!

That's possible, and if true makes me like it a bit more.

I mean… do you WANT an entry level employee with no prior job experience as a reference?

My extremely nitpicky gripe about it (or rather, the reprise) is that it properly sets up a three-beat with Serafin getting bonked on the head by a juggling pin twice and then switching places with Manuela to avoid it the third time.

At least those are over quickly. And deal with actual characters from the film interacting with one another.

It goes on for Niles and Niles… and if you don't believe me, you're in —

Hello, Jerry.

I work for Disney, and if I ever make the jump to working the in Parks, being a Jungle Cruise skipper is absolutely my definition of having 'made it.'

And one is just "Make 'Em Laugh" with a different set of lyrics.

I love this movie, but I also consider "Gotta Dance" to be the worst bit of Singin' in the Rain by a country mile.
