You're correct, which is what makes this so damn hilarious.
"Lincoln" was good but not great and I'm kind of flummoxed it's doing as well awards-wise as it is. Sally Field shouldn't even be nominated at all, and Day-Lewis has been much better in other things, like "Gangs of New York," and not won. Speaking of Day-Lewis, Joaquin Phoenix's performance in "The Master" (which…
Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor for "Silence of the Lambs" when he was only in ~20 minutes of the film. Judi Dench won Best Supporting Actress for "Shakespeare in Love" for all of, if I remember, two scenes.
Needs some updating.
I had professors that leaned both ways. I went into college a liberal, and I left it a liberal. Most people I know left college retaining their original political beliefs, both left and right. If a person's political philosophy is so weak that four years of college will completely shift it, then it wasn't that deeply…
Basically this. You can't talk about deficits when you block revenue streams (read: making the rich pay their share) and refuse to cut the defense budget (read: buying expensive shit we don't need).

When we were getting ready to move in, about 20 years ago, the elderly husband of the owner was dying of lung cancer and was a life-long smoker. The entire house reeked of cigarettes and had tobacco stains everywhere; it took us a…
I had the same reaction to Joaquin Phoenix in "The Master" as I did to Daniel Day-Lewis in "There Will Be Blood." Specifically, in that I was able to hate the film and think, "Sweet Jesuchristo, what a performance" at the same time.
It got bumped, which is never a good sign. But yeah it's a pretty prestige-heavy film, what with Baz, Literature, Leo, Tobey and Carey.
Not gonna lie: I just want to see Cersei Lannister be even more evil. Or is it less?
GRRM has met fans who named their daughter(s) Arya. It's already out there. I think Sansa's a pretty name, too.
I don't know what's more disturbing:
That makes more intuitive sense — the pill makes women's bodies think that they're already pregnant, so there's less impetus to go after "manly" men, in which case, beta men seem more attractive or at least have more of a shot.
I was thinking the same thing. It makes semen taste terrible.
Going from soft to hard is major improvement.
Well that was just great wasn't it. *sips tea*
