I remember in the US Open last year when he beat a player who’d done really well, certainly had outplayed his seed. When it was over Novak greeted him at the net, gave him a genuine smile a pat on the back. Then he went out to the middle of the court by himself and hammed it up for the crown.

I kinda liked Dellavedova in last year's playoffs until he laid a crackback block on some dude's knee (can't remember who). He tried to make it look like it was an accident but it was clearly intentional and very, very dirty.

Shoulda read your comment before I said pretty much the same thing.

Totally wrong about Speights, he's a delight. His job is to come in, chuck up threes (many of which actually go in!), set screens where opposing players' limbs get stuck in his belly button, and laugh about life like that drunk guy at the state fair. He's a national treasure.

Grammar Nazi's cousin Usage Nazi here: "exasperated" should be "exacerbated".

I was going to post a comment detailing why the Warrior's struggles have NOTHING to do with the Thunder, but then Russell Westbrook showed up at my desk and kicked my ass.

This has to be the biggest win in Raptors history, right? Took every punch and stayed on their feet.

The last line of the article is the funniest thing I've ever read on Deadspin.

Oh, man, forgot all about Miller! He should've been a great one. Too bad he couldn't keep his weight under control. Also, Mayberry seemed like a good guy but just didn't have pro-level skills.

I forgot about Harris - he was a useful player! I was actually going for ex-Razorbacks, but any mention of a former Maverick is a good one.

I mostly remember the prototypical White Stiffs like John Konkak and Greg Kite.

I see your Todd Day and raise you a Corliss Williamson.

Alas, my dad sold Buicks for 25 years, and I spent my youth driving them. Pretty soon GM will make only Chevrolets and Cadillacs.

To quote the late Lewis Grizzard, be sure to call your mamma. I wish I could call mine.

FYI, that video is Leicester vs. Bournemouth, not Swansea.

Thanks. I think I knew that but just couldn't come up with it.

We seem to be seeing more dynasties around the world. We have bushes and Clintons here; Parks in Korea, and Sukarno and his daughter Megawati Sukarnoputri in Indonesia. Also, I was not trying to make light of the abuses in Korea; the connection to the Olympics just seemed pretty tenuous. What's going on in preparation

I think the headline was a little misleading. Hard to believe that the preparations for the 1988 Olympics began in 1975. More accurate would be “South Korea Used To Be Brutal, Repressive Dictatorship; Also Hosted Olympics”.

I think Kobe is a lot better than Jerry West - but shit, West is in his 70s!

Too bad they couldn't land the Triple Technical Lutz.
