Jeeez, my mom has a blackberry but has trouble using the internet on it. She was coming in town to visit and asked for directions so I sent her my address. Apparently she doesn't know how to use the navigation so she proceeded to call and ask for turn by turn directions as soon as she made it into city limits.

My roommate and I decided not to get cable. Internet is far more important. Hulu is a great place to catch shows and with an xbox360 and a Netflix account we're very solid on entertainment.

This whole thing is turning into some kind of crazy roller coast side show. I mean I get they have to check it out because someone could make a prosthetic out of explosive material but aren't there better ways? Wouldn't a bomb sniffing dog tell you everything you need to know?

Why is it always a Tuesday? One of my favorite t-shirts from Shirt.Woot, Tuesday is Gonna Be Rough, had a weather prediction of Godzilla attacking on Tuesday. Is there something I don't know about this seemingly innocuous day of the week?

@Lawrence "I'll Spare You" Chia:

Crazy kids. Whatever happened to just doing a 2 beer, beer bong a few times an hour while playing beer pong in between? Soft MFing college kids these days have to have energy drinks with their alcohol.

@buttnugget: You know, I keep hearing that. Arrogant Bastard is pretty good but I hear Double is better. It was recently released for this year and I keep waiting for someone to have it in my area. I keep calling and they don't have it yet. Hopefully by this weekend.

I'm going to do this just to get out of control and see what happens because that sounds like a good story waiting to happen.

A genetically engineered organism with a gene built in to stop it from running amuck. Every sci-fi movie ever tells me this can't end well.

"what's inside is almost as good."

@minjChE: I see where you're coming from. There certainly could be better nomenclature used but, yeah, you're nitpicking. haha.

@Chernobyl: I'm pretty sure they are required to call them by desert names because Android is so flippin SWEET!

@TheLostVikings: That's also what I've heard. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with an RFID but not positive. Similar workings I believe.

@minjChE: Fair enough, that's a true statement. But isn't historical data often used to better predict the probability of an event?

@ddillman: Security has to be in airports. It's a necessity. Are the security measures which are in place right now the best ones? I don't believe so. But to suggest that there shouldn't be any measures or that they haven't prevented any terrorist attacks or that passengers would be just as safe with no security

@minjChE: I agree, it's impossible to calculate the odds on something like this. The statistics have most certainly been affected by our security measures, however good or bad they may be, and removing them would most certainly have some kind of effect on those statistics. There are some interesting things brought

@Keny Waters: Excellent article, thanks for offering that up. First legitimate alternative I've heard/read about. Everyone else is just saying to get rid of the body scanners and pat downs. We definitely need to get on that and make some changes. Somebody tweet at Barack Obama.

@cmdtacos: Now that is a separate issue that I agree on. Standards. The standards for TSA need to be very firm and frequently tested. If they are not screening properly then the screenings are mostly useless. More of that money needs to be spent making sure the screening process is being carried out correctly and
