Every top high school football and basketball program wins because of a few ringers. Sounds like these kids are being targeted because they’re WINNING. It was okay before...now that they realize the “outsiders” are talented they gotta shut it down. Typically backwater bullshit and they’ll wonder why their town/region

Great piece, Kelsey. But am I the only one that doesn’t care about so-called “ringers” from out-of-state? I’m indifferent on ringers from in-state, ex. linking up with pals from the town over to create an all-star high school team. But kids from out-of-state weren’tstolen from a local school, so who cares?

$60K is base price, not $75K. And safe bet they’ll be in the lower $50s when hype subsides.

Anyone else REALLY sketched out when used car sellers take pictures of the car in school parking lots (like this) or retail parking lots or in front of clearly foreclosed on or empty seasonal McMansions they clearly don’t own? In the latter, it’s always on the edge of the driveway or street out front. So weird. It

That’s cool, thank you. Unsure how many other major cities outside of NYC and Detroit have big Thanksgiving Day parades, but I suspect that has something to do with original motive and popularity as well (100K+ are in downtown Detroit already). Is there literal perpetual contract language that they have “exclusive

Wow! How do the Lions “own” Thanksgiving scheduling though?

I think the cheap cars are scams that assist in keeping poor people poor - poverty pimping. Sure, if you’re lucky and land one that was babied by grandma, okay...but more often than not the driver is being ripped off. Meanwhile rich kids never have to worry about being in a hole with a 12%+ auto loan on a junker,

Those depressing $1000-4000 junkers Jalops romanticize don’t save normal blokes money. I drove a few in college - cost me an arm and a leg to keep them running, shit always breaking, tow coverage, etc., etc. All for shittier MPG and antiquated safety features.

What was suspicious to me was the owner seemingly had the “I know I got a 67 S”... i.e. special car... then lets it go for only $5K? Why?

I’ve seen a couple street parked 911s in ritzy areas like Georgetown, DC with tons of patina and leafs collecting on them.

Isn’t $5k basically peanuts for this car? What would even be considered I know what a I got pricing - $25k?
