I want to break his fucking legs with a baseball bat.
I want to break his fucking legs with a baseball bat.
I once did it where I had to go down E. 3rd St and 1st Ave a bunch of times. As in past the Hells Angels clubhouse. Careful.
I guess I’ll be the contrarian here and suggest that I think it will do very well. The reviews in general have been quite good, if not necessarily fanboy exciting. And I think the reality is that when you compare initial quality between this car and a Tesla, it will be no contest, as while Teslas may be cool, they are…
Trying to get NYPD to protect cyclists is going to be about as productive as getting cops in general to not view black men as threats, by default. And by that I mean, it will fail miserably. Cops in this country are wired to believe two things: that black men are threats until proven otherwise, and that cyclists are…
wouldn’t it be easier just to put arrays angled at the sun, you know, next to the roadway?
The problem is that Uber is sort of pissing in the wind in terms of economic efficiency.
Kuchar is Exhibit A of the phenomenon whereby everybody thinks everybody else is overpaid, except himself.
If this was my family, I’d be plotting how and when to sink these assholes into a concrete block.
No on the Taconic. Not fond of a highway that has a raised curb and drainage gutters, making for a bumpy ride.
Just to be clear, Calacanis has been a fucking idiot basically forever.
If they put a bed and shower in the self-driving car, then I could see it working.
I think its awful and shouldn’t be part of the conversation of how awful he is. It’s also fair to note that neither him nor other Fox hosts would observe that nicety.
methinks you left some whistleblower money on the table, my friend.
Idiotic.
That’ll buff right out.
I now drive a Mazda CX-5 - so NA, but comparatively lightweight and high compression, so I end up with about 30 mpg on the highway, with AWD. Not too shabby.
Yes I have to presume that the long-term solution is a combination of variable compression and energy recovery through braking. Some embedded solar panels probably wouldn’t hurt either.
That’s not to say that it can’t work - but you need a decent displacement engine, like 1.8-2.0L, and a boost that doesn’t kick in until higher revs, and then you can get some benefit and not distort the tested MPGs so much.
Is this news? I thought that was the guiding principle behind turbos anyway - better MPGs because it relies on you cruising at low RPMs. My old Audi A4 was fine at 2500 RPM but I knew that stepping on it was going to drive the MPG down quickly. Did people really think there was something for nothing here?
This is easy to fix. Make it clear that the NYPD will deem any pedestrian who dies from a collision with a cyclist that takes place in the bike lane as “no criminality suspected,” and they’ll suddenly actually pay fucking attention where they’re walking.
