LOL, that is the funniest shit. She sounds and looks like she’s about to burst into tears.

If a company is trying to look as though it’s addressing issues of pay parity between men and women, it’s probably not a good idea to pay your female co-lead less for doing the same job as her male co-lead. And you, by trying to blame her (‘she didn’t negotiate hard enough’), are part of the problem.

Loads of shit-for-brains incels over on the IGN comments section conjuring up every reason they can think of as to why Oneal’s lack of pay parity was justified (‘she’s whiney’, ‘she’s bad at her job so paid less’, ‘she only got there because she’s a woman’, ‘if she wants pay parity, why doesn’t she try earning it’,

It seems like women were important figures in the 1980s heydey of places like Sierra, then got pushed out/marginalised as games became less adult and more focussed on teenage boys.

Fallout 76 smelled like dogshit when it was still being cooked in the kitchen, and was enough to make one retch when it released.

Call me crazy, but I’m getting the feeling these remasters haven’t gone down too well.

Reading this through bleary morning eyes, I thought you said ‘dickish and clitish’ which I will now adopt as a more inclusive assessment.

This piece made my heart ache. Lovely writing.

I recommend the readings on the course, Rich Law, Poor Law’ at the University of Bristol Law School.

If this is legit, it’s great. It’s one of the reasons I was upset when American Apparel went under (at least in its original, pro-labour iteration). I don’t mind paying more for clothing if supply chains are sustainable and include decent labour rights!

Flick is giving me leather Daddy energy and I’m here for it. Definite red hanky left pocket.

100%. Straights are a fucking menace.

I think Will Smith is asexual too.

The right’s incessant (mis)quoting of MLK is truly astounding.

Until Dawn!

I used to own a SNES and N64 as a child, but gave up gaming in like 1999/2000, only to restart in 2020 thanks to the pandemic. It was difficult enough for me to get to grips with a PS4 and modern games; I can’t imagine how challenging it would be to have zero experience of controls, movement, combat, etc.

The plummeting share price feels like karma, baby.

I agree that the flashbacks were technically impressive (the Loomis look-a-like was so cool), but my complaint was that, in the context of the movie as a whole, they caused its momentum to shudder to a halt. And I didn’t see the point of the overwrought ‘I shot my partner in the neck’ thing, given that Hawkins’ guilt

I remember being caught out by this when I lived in The Netherlands as a child. I picked up a (German language boxed) copy of Gabriel Knight 2 from a bargain bin somewhere only to discover the violence was censored!

Boring! I’m shook.
