I love it when guys defend other guys by talking about *their* own friendship as evidence for why the guy must not have beaten his female partner. It’s like white guys saying “my white friend has always been great to me, there’s no way he’s racist!!”

I’m with the author - I would have wanted to tell the guy he’d been seen, watch him deny it, then say okay, prove it’s not true, drink it all yourself right now. And yes I realize that’s not the right way to handle it, it’s just what I would have WANTED to do.

My friend’s brother was charged with possession of child porn as well as molestation. He has been in jail since 2011 and has not yet gone to trial. Part of that has been because he keeps dicking around (requesting and then firing numerous public defenders, trying to act as his own attorney, etc.). He’s a total slime…

I’m pretty sure the first time I questioned the death penalty was when a friend’s stepfather killed her mother and sister, leaving my friend to care for her step-siblings. I knew and adored the mother, too.
