Comparing Jazz Fest to Coachella is frankly insulting to the Jazz Fest. They aren’t even in the same cultural league.

The big acts like Kravitz, Elton John, etc. draw big crowds, of course, but the whole day has fantastic tributes to jazz history and heritage. We owe every single modern musical genre to jazz.

J.Crew has become a lot more expensive, for which she is getting flack (and I’m not happy about it either). But also more fun. And she is smart enough to keep the old preppy style the Crew is known for next to more fashion-y stuff. I think she is awesome. But please make the stuff affordable again.

She’s gotten a lot of backlash for supposedly “tarnishing” the J Crew brand by straying too far from classic styles since she’s taken over as Creative Director, and a lot of conservative heads exploded when she painted her 6 year-old son’s toenails pink. Oh, and she was also in several episodes of Girls.
