That story sounds bonkers, but plausible when I think back to couples I knew in my early 20's. The couples where one of the pair was trying very hard to make the relationship work and the other was either barely there or not trying at all.

As a kid, my leagues always had the after-game team line up and filing by each other with high fives and “good game..good game...good game..”
Is that man sitting on the eggs? Sir. SIR!
Well, they still have luge tho
I thought the same thing. Oof, they didn’t pull their punches back then.
Anonymous online reviews are useless. Don’t read them.
Ehh - disagree with the separate accounts idea. If his financial behavior was so different from yours, having a separate account would just make it easier to avoid your voice of reason and he would have taken on heavier debt and earlier.
I’d tell myself that more than half of your financial health is based on values and behavior rather than technical expertise. I was super intimidated by anything financial in my 20's.
Did they not give you the broomball shoes? You got had.
I was especially confused when Collinsworth started in praising Patrick Chung’s playing. Chung got a lot of tackles, but that was after either the linebackers were blocked three yards backwards or the corners were burned on a route. Which might be good for a safety’s stat line but isn’t good for the team.
At least it found you! I have a plain, common name shared with hundreds of other, more prominent people and it found absolutely nothing related to me. It still called my reputation poor, though.

If the gov’t can’t do something in a cost effective way, it shouldn’t do it at all.
It’s actually a fair point. At the risk of injecting too much intra-government budget nerd stuff, the way ICE pays for detainees is a problem. ICE does not detain people in a facility that it runs and budgets for itself. The local county jails house the detainees and then present an invoice to ICE. So, if you want to…
I get why you would think that, but consider the situation. I should disclose here that I used to be a deputy.
Agreed about the deputies, but not about the judge. The judge can’t let the man have his moment like that in court. Court is for testimony and what the father was doing was not that. It’s frustrating and the father is a totally sympathetic figure, but any judge who allows that in their court without addressing it is…
The deputies can’t just stand there and let a fight break out in court. They handled it perfectly. They were probably prepared for something like this happening.
I think the person he was shouting at was the prosecutor, who was admonishing the other families in the gallery. That’s a tough spot to be in. She has a job to do and is supposed to act on behalf of the public and the victims, but there really isn’t much she can do in this case that hasn’t already been done.
I don’t know about the judge, but I’m confident that those court bailiffs are totally sympathetic to the father and are probably treating him like a king during whatever detainment he has.
