Back in 2015, my wife and I were shopping for a new car for her. Reliability, fuel economy, and practicality were our top three and we agreed a Honda Fit would be a good, well, fit.

Toyota. You are boring. You have been boring for a very long time. You were boring even in the nineties when you had 3 RWD sports cars and a WRC Championship.
Swordfish. Imagine a teenage boy obsessed with Napster and boobs wrote a movie. Good god it was dumb but it had two gorgeous things going for it: Halle Berry and the TVR Tuscan. I’m sure the Jackman’s impeccable abs were a draw as well. Travolta and his creepy soulpatch less so.
Can’t speak for the 200, but I had a Dart as a rental for over a month last year and I really can’t recommend it. The best I could say is its fine - but when the competition are all better than fine, and the segment leaders are excellent, it doesn’t stand a chance.
I had exactly the same thought. If its not a daily driver you may as well go for something focused, but no so dialed in you break your back on the first patch of rough road you find.
Funnily enough this 2002 S14 Project turned up on Bring A Trailer today, and is located in Longmont. Can’t help but wonder if it used to be one of Terrance’s babies.
Definitely. I love the idea of a hot Crosstrek and I think if they don’t reintroduce a WRX hatch, a new Gravel Express would be a great alternative.
Right? Like the Casa Blanca, it was JDM only. I reckon they should bring the name back. Drop the WRX mill in the Crosstrek and you’ve got yourself a modern Gravel Express. They’ll sell millions! OK, maybe 10.
Is there some market for performance Insights I’m not aware of?
It’s a shame Mr Regular didn’t mention the best part of the Insight’s history - what Car and Driver did to ‘win’ Honda’s launch challenge. All the car rags were tasked with hypermiling an Insight from Columbus to Detroit, with the winner being the one with the highest MPG figure. What C&D did was pull a box behind an…
Tribeca then, or whatever the fuck that monstrosity was called.
You are right, but I think most Subaru designs get better with age (though there are certainly exceptions to every rule and the Tiburon is definitely one). I’ve certainly thought that about every generation of Impreza. And from a personal stand point, I think 90's car design, with their simple, clean, and elegant…
No, I get it. That generation Mustang is a fantastic blank canvas, but it doesn’t seem like the builder did a whole lot of improve the handling - other than subframe connectors. As the OP pointed out, the Integra is widely considered one of the best handling FWD cars of all time, and to swap the body onto a Mustang…
Well shit, that was the one saving grace for me on this thing.
