I think an expansion of the playoff needs to be offset by one fewer regular season game -- you’d basically be rewarding the best unpaid football players with an additional opportunity to have a career-ending injury.

They needed a QB who was better than the league avg. They have an offensive playbook reliant upon a QB who throws a deep ball and scrambles. Kap would have been perfect not only because he fills both of those criteria but also because even he would know that come the playoffs he sits. You are getting a playoff tested…

The O line was also pretty beat up this year, too that didn’t help. They should have kept either Lang or Sitton.

I don’t know that Kaep would have made a difference, but after about two games of Brett Hundley it was certainly worth trying. Hundley might become a decent quarterback but his inexperience certainly showed.

When you’d rather be a team that supports “real American values” than one that wins, this is what happens.
