Chamberlain was an amazing athlete, but the 48" vertical, and the 500lb benchpress in particular given his build, are urban legend BS.

Sanders was my favorite football player growing up, and a marvel to watch when he was carrying the ball, but as many have mentioned, the widely propagated narrative that he played on teams that were basically nothing but total shit besides him is at best overblown.
