You're not missing anything, she's just totally wrong. I sense some projection here too.

With Scooby, the multiple variations on the show mask the shortness of the original run. Still surprising though.

The opposite of that is Speed Racer. While most of the episodes are two-parters, there are 52 distinct shows.

Good point.

"White trash effluvia"

Only 16 episodes of Hong-Kong? How is that possible? Felt like many more when I was a kid…or a nostalgic adult.

Maybe that's Luther's motivation…he didn't like the presumptive leader of all gangs using poor grammar.

Is 48 Hrs. an action movie though?

That's testament to the impact of that scene - If you've seen the movie (and I suppose enjoyed it), you'll never hear clinking bottles and NOT think "Come out to pla-e-ay".

Also, coincidence time, but tonight while walking the dog I heard what sounded like bottles clinking together and though, "Hey, is Luther nearby?"

Can you dig it?

I suppose I should have said, "It's more difficult for one player to have a positive impact in football."

Please stop mentioning the Browns. They are a trainwreck and it is much more difficult for one player to have a LeBron-type impact in football.

I used to work in an office with two other guys. We had very different tastes in music, but at times, it was enjoyable to hear things I would have never heard before. Like the Danger Doom album. I liked Aqua Teen, and as far as that type of music was concerned, it was very tolerable.

So there's an episode where some villain raises all of Manhattan up out of the water, and Spidey is swinging underneath, for what seemed to my child mind, forEVER. And I remember the music was way atonal and jazzy, also to my child mind.

The skulls on the Pizza Planet truck are a nice touch.

I'm watching you…it's like I've got a line on you.

Well, you can't say you didn't know what it was about going in…

Microserfs by Douglas Coupland.

Well I enjoyed it.
