"the greatest heavy metal album ever, Music From The Elder"

That's an interesting continuation. Hmm…

Oh yeah, and while I've bashed other "haters" for their weak reasons for hating a song, I thought Dominic here had a good angle on why he hates this song.

"Is a song more 'pure' if the title artist also composed it and performed the music?"

Because cheap vodka is a quick way to generate revenue. You distill some bourbon, you've got to wait two years minimum to actually sell it, and then it's going to be pretty harsh stuff.

But you'll have to watch every episode on PPV, and to get through the season will cost $10,000.

You're technically correct(which is of course the best kind of correct), but the beer that distillers create I think is somewhat different than what comes in 12-packs on your local store's shelves. I could be wrong though.

I'm glad you stepped up to clarify the brewing/distilling angle, because my bourbon snob hackles were raised by that line in the article.

I won't say I love it, but it was interesting.

I like that too!

You know what I'd like to see added at the end of this feature? The hater should have to share a song they love.

I think that was a bong, not a baton…

Makes sense…women's movement, race relations, militarization of space…

So, Get Smart, Man from U.N.C.L.E and…H.R. Pufnstuf?

(taps side of nose knowingly)

Unrelated to the article, but did TV Guide have a reputation as a hard news source back then? "What the news doesn't tell you about the CIA."?!?

Maybe? Flagg mentioned some kind of past exploits in almost every appearance.

There really are some great older shows out there that surprisingly, in the age of everything on demand all the time, are overlooked. Shows like M.A.S.H., DvD, Barney Miller…should be required watching for people interested in developing their comedy sense.

Bam! You got it.

The first five seasons of MASH don't get the respect they deserve anymore. Pvt. Tuttle, Henry's reading of all of Klinger's fake family crises, any episode with Flagg…
