Duffman commented on my comment! Oh yeah!

According to the remarkably extensive wiki page on Heart, Roger was around up to 79, so maybe some of his influence/song writing carried over to Bebe.

You're spot on. I too kinda stopped being interested in Heart once they turned full-on secretary-rock. Or at least, their singles production became full on secretary-rock.

I agree to both points.

Yeah, I have no doubt that a feature-length Minion adventure is going to have some lulls. I assume the reason is the delicate balancing act between "adults will like this" and "wait, silliness is needed for the kids!" There has to be tremendous corporate pressure to walk that beam.

I've been resisting the urge to buy a plush Minion. But it's a challenge.

That would explain my recent run-ins with the law…

The A.V. Club -
- you're either five years old, or a frumpy forty-something office manager in Tweety Bird sweatpants.

I'm going to be in the minority here, but I enjoy their schtick. They had a stand-alone short where the main three are all in competition for a banana. I STILL say "banana!" in Minion-ese when bananas are present.

"It makes me wonder how much I really need them in my life"

Then no Jello for you!

Ok, I'll take the opposite position. I saw some kind of Jello forms at the store tonight shaped like Minions. And I was quite tickled.

Cue the Stones' Mother's Little Helper…now!

The 80s production qualities would have been difficult to avoid WITHOUT meddling from the label, but then again, it WAS the 80s.

Fair enough. Just be aware that your theory would be disputed by millions of other peer reviews.

You're trolling right?

Ehh…you're skipping plenty of other 80s songs. "If Looks Could Kill" is a strong song from that period, as is "Who Will You Run To".

Because they ARE two different bands. Much of the hard rock edge was produced by the two dudes the sisters were dating and were in the band, the Fisher brothers.

One last response…

I'd like to thank Beema for one of the best set-up lines ever posted for a sex research show.
