It might have frozen her out from receiving the money under their divorce settlement, but I would agree that it seems unlikely that it would have affected her rights to royalties.
I was with friends the other day, one of whom said that the special editions were designed by George Lucas to freeze out his ex-wife Marcia Lucas from royalties. I can’t see how that would be possible. In any case, Marcia is the only Lucas who won an actual Oscar, for editing A New Hope.
