No, I'm pretty sure his role in this is as important/large as it was in Prometheus. They're hiding him a lot.

Nope, different look, different voice, even the characterization is markedly different just from a few lines.

No, Ubisoft had total creative control. They funded this completely. Fox is just distributing this film.

It's not a passion project. Ubisoft is more cash-flush than any movie studio and offered him more money than he'd ever receive for a Hollywood production.

Sadly, I agree with every word of this review.

Missing from this entire article is that this would be the third draft of the film. A playwright wrote the first, screenwriting god Scott Frank (Minority Report) wrote the second.

He's fine. It was nice to see him loose, not intense at all, and kind of underplaying in comparison to everyone else. I think my main problem is that all the characters felt like caricatures to me. Not as much an acting problem (they're all talented) as a direction and writing problem. But that affects my opinion

I don't think I'm ever going to understand the love for Cooper's performance in AH. He has funny moments, but mostly he made me cringe. The only actor I loved in that movie was Renner, and I wished he'd been nominated instead.

All I can say is that, in my experience & from the people I know, "doorman" is a very racially loaded word.

There's a historical context here that you're missing. Think back to golden age Hollywood movies & how frequently black men were extras, cast as doormen/servants. Menial subservience was their only option.

I really want to see an adaptation of Octavia Butler's Kindred.

This guy continues to be the budget-Fassbender, in looks and talent, so I can't say I'm surprised he's pursuing a project as lame as this.

There have been rumors about major drama going on behind the scenes for the past month.  And the producer's reaction seemed pretty clear cut as he described her a "irresponsible".
