I'd say it immediately went downhill

I finally finished the original Gundam, watching the last twelve episodes over the last two days.  I don't understand Char's motivation at all, but he seems like a pretty good dude.

I've seen many 2.35:1 films in my day.  This is not 2.35.

I had this image mocked up back in November when there was still a very slight chance that he might be relevant.

I just watched After Hours for the first time tonight.  Coincidences are fascinating to the people they happen to.

Remember how funny it was on the Simpsons when that hobo sued Itchy and Scratchy for 800 billion dollars?  This is literally 90 times as funny.

Fuck that.  Sony was counting on us being such insane addicts that we'd follow the show no matter what they did.  I'm not giving them the satisfaction of being right.  It's a shame that good people will be hurt in the process, but that's always how it is always is in a boycott.   It's the only way to really let them

The third in the trilogy, American Man-animal,  will probably be even better.  Can a sickly man in pink underpants be taught to mine gold?

The Sin of Harold Diddlebock was the original Hangover but with old people.  Why Harold Lloyd was so old that he's dead now.

Teti insists that breasts be portrayed with the utmost solemnity.  It must not have even the whiff of exploitation, otherwise it's too easy or too immature.  See his hilariously offbase review of Bayonetta.  It reads like a "Verhoven is a fascist" review of Starship Troopers.

But the tone is so different. I'm constantly baffled why everyone thinks the two are of a piece.  Raiders is is a mostly straight tribute to serial adventure films; Last Crusade is camp.
