Well said. Owen Wilson really didn't get enough credit for that performance. His innocence, the childish wonder and enthusiasm, is what sold the movie for me. Woody Allen couldn't have pulled the part off like Wilson did.

You're not the only one. Here's a mockup I had a friend do back in November.
Stephen Chow, smiling beautifully.
The line was gender roles. Makes a big difference.
The photo makes this guy look like some sort of a KPAX
Wizard People, Dear Reader would make a good entry in the New Cult Canon. I think so anyway.
In terms of critically lauded, yet still somehow still overlooked films of 2007, Zodiac has nothing on Hot Fuzz. Even though the AV Club review was positive, when it made the top ten on the reader's film list it appeared with a back handed compliment.
Oh my god, he does look like a Doonesbury character!
I've watched Community live since the first episode. I liked it well enough at first, but also had mixed feelings. It wasn't until I rewatched the first season on DVD that I became a superfan. It allowed me to really see how they built the relationships, and the sentiment went down a whole lot easier.
Ah John D. Fitzgerald. Haven't read that one, though I read most of his YA output when I was a kid. He was actually Catholic, but grew up in rural Utah and his mother was Mormon. His books are loosely autobiographical.
As a cultural Mormon with a fascination with our shameful past (and shameful present), I'd like to get the title of that book.
Glee's Spanish teacher doesn't know Spanish? That somehow reminds me of another show, but I can't place it.
I'm not arguing for any definition. I honestly don't know. But saying those are the only two potential binaries is ridiculous. You could easily say that what matters is whether the brain has formed, and differentiated to the point where brain activity is measurable. That's a binary. It either has or it hasn't. …
To the extent that selecting any criteria for judgement is arbitrary, yeah it's arbitrary. But that's just as true for the conception and birth positions. Saying those are the only logical positions is fucking ridiculous. With different criteria, there are plenty of other logical positions. Hell, right up to birth…
Ah the Razzies, even more boring and safe than the Oscars. Though, like the Oscars, even they get it right sometimes.
In regards to commercials, I have to disagree with Noel. Seymour Cassel's performance in that Mac&Cheese commercial really worked for me.
Yeah. That episode was so bad it made me remove my original post.
Doh. I missed this post on my first read through and did my own Simpsons post below. Oh well I'll just move it up here and edit my old one out of existence.
Yeah, Malory is shit. Read Chretien de Troyes. The Knight of the Cart is fucking great.
I've come to appreciate it since then for the silly campfest that it is, but it sure wasn't the serious riveting action adventure I remember as a kid.
