Huzzah apparently just recently announced Brewster's Millions (2012)
http://www.imdb.com/title/t…
If it is in fact released in 2012 it will have been 27 years since the previous version of Brewster's Millions marking the longest dry spell the world has seen of Brewster's Millions remakes, beating out the previous record

Brewster's Millions
If Hollywood is so remake happy, where's this generation's remake of Brewster's Millions, damn it.

Comedies about dictators
Come to think of it the only comedy about a dictator I've seen is Duck Soup. I haven't even seen The Great Dictator. Regardless, I maintain that comedies about dictators is the greatest of all micro-genres.

Soul crushing?
Is it as soul crushing as previous installments of The Sims? Is it still all the banality and hassle of day to day life without any of the joy, exposing human life as utterly meaningless? Would a better title be Existential Despair 3? I have so many questions.

Northanger Abbey
Mr. Tilney is perhaps the most charming of all Jane Austen's male characters.

Edgar Wright
On the off chance that Edgar Wright reads the comments to articles that he contributes to, I'd like to say that you sir made the best film of 2007.

Miike
Audition was definitely the right choice for Miike. He has some more violent films, but they never match the intensity of Audition. I watched it through my fingers, and had to pause it at one point.

Will Ferrell is great
I'm too drunk to fully read all the news story, let alone all the comments. Sorry, I know it's bad form, but the alcohol buffers that concern. All I really have to add to the conversation (and who knows if it's an addition) is that Will Ferrell is a badass. I initially avoided Talladega Nights

I wouldn't post this if I wasn't drunk
Oh man, he has not aged well. I feel bad about saying this, and I wouldn't say it at all if it wasn't for the inhibition lowering affects of alcohol. He looked way too old in The Player, a film itself which is over fifteen years old. Whatever, he's a badass. Way cooler than

Where are all the movies about bankruptcy law?
Bankruptcy lawyers are seriously underrepresented in television and film. It's a shame, because bankruptcy is a wealth of material. Like this one time one of our clients provided us with a Certificate of Debtor Education instead of a Certificate of Pre-bankruptcy Credit

Tony Leung
But the runtime and ticket price are worth it for the opportunity to see Tony Leung naked, right?

HDM and some on topic discussion
I wouldn't call HDM an allegory, as it's pretty explicit. God isn't renamed the Emperor-Over-the-Sea; he's just God. I guess it can get a bit heavy handed, but it's not really full on anti-religion as it is anti-authoritarianism. Overall I like the book, but then I've always

God
Didn't God open for U2 on their last tour?

David Brent v. Alan Partridge
I don't know if it's because I'm an ignorant American, and not an enlightened Briton, but I tend to prefer my characters played with genuine affection rather than sneering condescension. Partridge manages to be decent despite that fatal flaw, but I'll take The Office over it without

Apologies
Damn submit button. Sorry about the double post.

Comment part two
It wasn't my intention to write a 1000 word essay when I set out, but that's just how it goes sometimes. My last comment was cut off due to length so here's the rest for those who are interested, nonexistent though they may be.

I'm going to use a disgusting analogy to start this post.
Just because your beloved wife of 40 years has brought you more joy than anything else in the world, it doesn't mean you should continue fucking her after she's dead. She's dead, be happy with the memories and move on. Spending a lot of time with her isn't

Stephen Chow
Stephen Chow is the greatest comic actor alive. Some of his early starring vehicles were pretty bad, but even then his comic sensibilities and general screen presence is always delightful, regardless of anything else surrounding him.

Farfetched plot.
I dunno, dropping a bomb into the sun seems like a pretty silly way to reheat it. I think it would be far more believable if a group of Japanese Ouendan style male cheerleaders led the entire population of Earth in a chi power gathering cheer that could then be launched into the sun, restoring it to
