I have very reliable info that the truck was responding to another incident when it came upon that other incident which was not yet radioed in. That’s why there were no flags at that spot: they were only signalling for the other incident at that time.

I’m not horribly versed on diving, but as far as I’ve understood there can be very many redundancies for most of what you mentioned, but not only that one fatal cave dive accident but many others I’ve read about give me the creeps, and what leads to accidents in cave dives don’t seem to be things you can prepare much…

No, they do not. Not on tourist days. They do have a few guys looking at a few cameras and operating a few warning lights. But they mostly operate on the basis of people calling in incidents.

There is no marshaling basically. It would be impossible at tourist days. It’s a 21 km track!

Radios do not cost much. If you can’t afford a radio for safety, you can’t afford to go out on track either.
