Gotta wonder if adding all the proper d-pad controls and bigger UI stuff is because they’re about to maybe go and do just that....

Whyyyyy don't we have those games on console! Would love to play them on PlayStation. It makes 0 sense.

This also would’ve been an ideal time to port this classic to Switch and make the easiest profit in the world, but then again, those FF Pixel Remasters are in the same boat. COME ON GUYS.

Dangit. I understand why, but still...

This is a really odd take. The theaters charged a price for a ticket. People saw that price when they purchased it. There was no deception here.

I mean, yeah it’s greedy, but it’s nothing new, and those of us with Stubs accounts didn’t have to pay a premium, so it’s likely a good chunk of the audience didn’t notice.

I don’t know if Barsanti’s upset at AMC for raising prices, audiences for paying them, or people being mad at AMC. The article seems weirdly sarcastic about everything.

This seems out of the Donald Trump playbook. Hey I have a lot of money & lawyers like money, this is a way I can evade accountability & cause even more stress & suffering for my victims & drag things out in a way that is awful for them & kind of fun for me!

The youtube comments for the trailer of Phoenix Rising are certainly. . .something.

He should’ve won for Django. Don’t get me wrong, I love Christoph Waltz, but he didn’t bring anything new or terribly compelling to his role, while Jackson’s portrayal of Stephen was incredible and nuanced and full of such complicated history in the portrayal of an enslaved person in the chattel system who functions

I’m not that big of a QT fan as most people on this board are, with that said Jackson was great in Pulp Fiction but you know what other QT movie he was great for and could have gotten a Supporting nomination for? Django Unchained, he was amazing in that movie and even better than Leo was in it.

Both are incredible performances in what I would consider each director’s best movie (don’t @ me, Jackie Brown/Edward Scissorhands fans), but I would give the edge to Jackson. Looking back at the past (Jesus Christ!) nearly 30 years, that’s the performance that spawned a thousand imitators and has become truly iconic,

Eternals takes risks. Iron Man 3 takes risks too. I don’t think the MCU takes many, but they’re there. Love them or hate them, both those films do something different.

Maybe I’m just a luddite, but I’ve not trusted “autosave only” games with the rest feature since day one and I’ve always quit to menu at the very least on those games.

And there was (failed) Dictator Donald, that Putin groveler proclaiming it was “genius” for how Putin came up with break-off-separatist-regions charade so he has a “reason” for rolling into Ukraine.

I don’t speak for everyone so I just have the sample size of people I talked to but every marketing attempt for the game just seemed very bland and generic. From the art direction and how the trailers were cut. And the amount of long/bad trailers we got every time they decided to show the game. Showing the same thing

They have no one to blame but themselves. They fucked up Avengers, and people took one look at Guardians and said “no thanks” (myself included).

Not just that specific one. There’s tons of similar takes on the theme on Adobe’s stock image site via a “SF hexagon” search. Small sample:

If that were true slot machines wouldn’t exist.
