Totally disagree! Totally!!!

LifeHacker forgot to consider the absolute #1 important thing when naming their top 5? Longterm stability! NOTHING could be more important to a business than knowing the name they're investing in will remain functional for the full 5-10 years they're paying for. Your host craps out, you can move to a new host.

This roundup makes it sound like GoDaddy is only good if you're going to host with them too. Since I don't host my sites with GoDaddy, now I'm wondering if I'm paying for a value I don't care about.

@jbarr: True. But I can't tell you how many times I've had a client ask what all the random computer code was. People don't even recognize that they're words. I kept having to explain not only that it was dummy text but also a brief explanation about Lorum Ipsum, including it's purpose, origin, and long history.

What's with those links to see the bigger photos? I'm not seeing anything larger than normal and I'm also not seeing any download link. Is the ability to SEE bigger photos rolling out slowly or just the ability to upload them?

Dear Lifehacker,

I agree with all the points of this presentation. Everybody should listen.

This is very nice. Google has had custom icons for maps for a long time so this is odd that it didn't already exist for Gmail.

Lifehacker has showcased many similar website services before. great sites that worked perfectly. But they ALL go out of business soon after because they lose money to transfer tons of big files all day long without requiring so much as a registration from the user. Remember LH recommending s4ve.as? It was

"That invitation code has expired."

What is "securely delete" or virtually shredding? If I just delete it (either dragging to my trash or clicking the delete button) while holding the shift button down, isn't it gone gone? What's the difference between deleting immediately and "shredding" it?

Reminds me of Ladder Ball. Very fun backyard/tailgating game which you can also build (in just minutes) with just two 10 foot sections of 3/4" PVC pipe. Y'also need 6 golf balls and some nylon string. Just built my own last month.
