Somebody please smack the author upside the head for being so stupid as to think this song is actually called "Benny Hill". Sure they became closely tied but Yakety Sax became popular several years before it ever appeared on the Benny Hill show.

How in the world does this article not mention join.me. It's from the LogMeIn company so it's a no brainer replacement for casual use.
As long as it doesn't affect join.me.
This tip no longer works.
This tool is messed up. If you choose no data plan it still charges you $40+ per month on every carrier other than T-Mobile. I'm on Verizon and I don't have a data plan because I don't have a smart phone.
This article missed some major "when to avoid debit card" points. You should never use your debit card at a gas station, at least not if your account is running low. As soon as you enter your card in a pump, the gas station "reserves" up to $100 immediately to cover how much you're likely to pump. They don't actually…
I never thought of this as a little known trick. This article only mentions adding individuals but it works with groups of people too. From day #1 of FB chat I always made myself visible only to my Family group.
I find it hilarious that LifeHacker wrote "If you don't have an index.html file in the folder, Drive will display a list of the folder's contents." Um, yeah. Just like any website hosting anywhere works. Why mention that item in particular but not the 500 other basic facts that are valid, but apply to all hosting…

My email address is firstname@firstnamelastname.com. Part of that is strictly because lastname.com is infinitely more likely to be unavailable, as was the case for me. But even without that limitation, if I have a website, which I do, I want it to be firstnamelastname.com so your suggestions would mean I have to buy…
The photo on the left is a left exit BECAUSE IT SAYS "LEFT" right on the sign. I've never seen a left exit that didn't warn you it was on the left - not with a subtle hint but by clearly stating "left" or "left exit". Don't worry about some cryptic message hidden in the sign's alignment which you admit only *might*…
The results were tampered with. Type in a location and Google will show you a map right at the top of the page (clickable). This Bing Off stripped out this important factor.
I use GPS at least weekly in my hometown... for geocaching.
My Android device is not a phone and has no number. Can Google Authenticator still be used?
I love Any.Do's intuitive ease of use but I can't stand how you can't nest subtasks. Which ones of these are simple like Any.Do but can nest subtasks in multiple levels (to break down each task - or perhaps if "food shopping" is on your to-do list you can then embed the items you need within the overall to-do list.)
So wait. You only see one comment/reply thread to the original article (including subsequent replies to the first comment too) unless you actively click the little images to show the other top-level replies? You can't just scroll through a list of 1st level replies and then decide which ones you want to optionally…

Google's on a roll now. Nice job. Very convenient.
This is AWESOME for people like me who have a wi-fi-only android device! I travel constantly between just a few cities and it is a monumental improvement for me to be able to now use Google Maps without an internet connection - which is 100% of the time that I would need a map! I used to rely on Locus for this but…
kc2idf, there is no such thing as VHF or UHF in the U.S. anymore (as far as broadcast television is concerned) so it's not any concern. No need to check what band your local stations were on 3 years ago before those bands were eliminated.
