The GTI is a new car. The R is still on the old platform. Still more powerful but not as short supply.

Wearing my n95 indoors and being boosted says “i respect your fellow humanity and we are just trying to do our best”
1) If it’s a rural area, they won’t be overcongested
They get to own the result of their choices. A better decision here or there and they’d still be alive, but here we are with another Jalopnik piece attributing these deaths to the police.
The issue here is that it was an ARMED carjacking and a violent crime and not just an issue of personal property theft. This is different from when a car is just boosted from a driveway or when a vehicle is taken from someone without a weapon. Car jackings with weapons often result in bad outcomes from the victims and…
police chases over trivial shit should stop. “ooh look, his plate is expired, lets chase him!”, “ohh, a black guy in a fancy car”, “ooh, his taillight is out”, “ooh, he cali rolled that stop sign”... send a ticket with the dashcam video and be done with it.
but this was a felony stop from the get go. good reason to…
In very few cases of anything does anyone ever “deserve” to die. Rather, certain activities have high likelihood of death as an outcome. Perform armed car-jackings and I believe your risk of early death naturally goes up.
As a resident of a city where many, many car-jackings result in death to the victim, I believe you left out the very standard outcome: the armed car-jacker doesn’t get chased, dumps the car after totalling it, repeats the process over and over again (killing completely innocent victims along the way), and then…

Oh man, I’m one of those nephews. My uncle was in a wreck while driving a convertible in the 60s and claims he only lived because he was thrown clear.
I mean, depends on where ^^
I live in Le Mans and we get snow that sticks for a couple of days maybe once every 2 years. It’s instantly salted and I’ve never lost grip even a lil bit. I drive on rain tires all year ‘round. Because it rains about half the year here ^^
If you’re not passing, get out of that lane. Also, if you’re ever not in the rightmost lane, and there is even a single car behind you, MOVE OVER. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
No, what’s sadder is complaining about the availability of an automatic that might allow someone to drive the car who otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see where things go from here — just a passing look at what happened a decade ago.
