I’m not suggesting complete elimination of road salt. I’m suggesting a combination of:

This isn’t an S2000... you recognize that. Look at all the comments here saying it’s not an enthusiast vehicle. It just happens to be a manual version of a basic/boring vehicle.

They didn’t fix a lot of the complaints though. The only fix is the steering wheel touch capacitive buttons... which entailed them taking the steering wheel from a base model instead.

there is literally no other valid reason to buy a different color

~$0.03 per gallon is generally pure profit. It’s not much (1% profit margin given current gas prices), but by definition, that’s after keeping the lights on.

I believe the researcher and their objective data.

It’s amazing that vehicles like this get green lit, and yet, they decide to cut the manual GTI?

Great.  Now start cracking down on individual owners that tune their vehicles and violate emissions regulations on public roads.

I’m still genuinely curious the last time you shopped the 3-row vehicle market. I got an Atlas in 2021, when incentives still existed, and the low 30s was basically the entry point for minivans and 3-row SUVs then. It’s been many years since an SUV like the EV9 could be had in the low 30s as spec’d

this vehicle should only Cost $30k at most

Nonsense. The melting points of plastics is highly variable. There are plenty of quality plastics that are immune to this problem. This is 100% cost cutting.

ACAB as always

The part that’s always missing from the metrics (and is usually pointed out in the comments) is general trend in the marketplace and how it relates to vehicle prices. Ford is cutting back Lightning production, but I bet if they would build and stock base models they’d be selling a ton more. But it’s not just the Lightn

I love Jason, he’s great, but he’s not a professional crash tester. And admittedly I am not either, so that’s why I included quotes from the people who are.

Chances are this guy didn’t even do anything wrong. Clearly the cop was fishing for an arrest:

or maybe they just clocked his speed when slowing to make the turn so they would have some kind of official record of supposed “bad driving”

and no blood alcohol test was administered at the scene

Engines/transmissions have been designed to drop down and under vehicles for decades to the point where its not a feature spoken about but rather an expected standard safety device. Most castings are made with specific failure points for this reason. Breaking these mounts further energy dissipation.

We need to see the number, but your picture is a bit misleading as that is just after impact, you can tell because the airbags are deployed, but have no paint on them, so there is still crumpling to go, where as, apparently the total front end deformation on the Cybertruck is about even what’s shown on your photo.

Can you please share a link? I was under the impression they abandoned the exoskeleton.
