While the G 6x6 is insane, the 4x4^2 is where it’s at if you really want to offroad.

Uhhhh, aaaaahhhhhkkkkttttcccchhhuuullly, he did not form an electric car company, he was an early funder (not founder) and bought an early ownership stake. Yes, eventually came to lead the company as well as worked really hard to minimize the involvement of the actual founders. The guy has been an asshat since day one.
Looks nice, but I think I’ll wait for whatever Mazda is cooking up with the CX-70 and/or CX-90.
This seems like a good way to 100% miss out on any tax from big rigs, tourists, and people just traveling through Georgia that at least currently have a chance at buying gas in Georgia and paying towards their wear/tear they did while visiting or driving through.
Not to be a dick, but he has to have like the same 2 or 3 comments copied to his clipboard to post a moments notice.
I didn’t get to test drive a MK8, but I did get to sit in one. The steering wheel controls weren’t actually as bad as I expected because they do have more feedback that just a straight up capacitive “button”; there is a little bit of clickiness to them. I mean, it’s still worse than normal buttons, but it wasn’t that…
Did this really have many advantages over a typical minivan like a Pacifica, Sienna, or Odyssey? From an outsider, it seems it was just ever so slightly smaller, not close to as nice/refined, and not really that much cheaper. Looking at every other market segment, that doesn’t seem to be a winning combination.
It’s grown substantially over the past few years. So just because your house is built on a street it’s OK for it to go from a typical low traffic side street into a full on interstate highway?
Shit, I kind of want this now. With a second kid on the way, there isn’t room for 4 in my current weekend car, this could be it. I mean, it’s not as good looking as a Mk 2 or Type S, but it still is pretty cool. Now to probably have my dreams killed as I look up what parts availability and cost for this thing is....
It’s not just right next to the airport it’s the entire San Fernado valley. Pollution collects because of the surrounding terrain traps it there more than normal. LA area’s terrain is a big reason why smog was an issue back in the day, and it is a big reason increased air traffic is an issue now. Sounds like you…
Lightyears ahead? As much as I am annoyed by Tesla and its fans, I’ve yet to see a Chinese competitor that meets Euro/US safety standards and has performance comparable to a Tesla. Somehow, any truly “competitive” EV made by the Chinese doesn’t make it to markets where they have decent safety standards.
??? The B Pillar is already blacked out.
You should probably compare Tesla death rate to cars that are actually comparable to Teslas as well as similar driver demographics - let alone fatality rates of autopilot on vs off. I would assume a typical Tesla driver/owner is already part of a demographic that more likely to be a safer driver than average as well…
Because they are both round? Or they both steer a car? I don’t see any similarity here besides that.
Hyundai, Kia, Genesis are absolutely killing it with their styling lately. I mean, the market overlap between a lot of their models is confusing, and it seems like there are still some quality/cost cutting issues; but boy is their stuff nice to look at? Seriously, BMW, you guys need to poach any designer you can from t…
Modern, single cab, short bed, 4x4 pickups don’t have seats in the back.
This thing would look great if it either had the taller green house of a more typical SUV - or - the ride height of a wagon. It’s got some weird proportions right now but is so close to being really good looking.
What are the chances that the price goes up significantly as soon as you walk in the door of whatever place is selling it?
The CX-50 is a decent amount longer which gives you a good amount more 2nd row leg room and trunk space. The numbers look close on paper, but it ended up being much more different when I test fit a rear facing childseat in both. It’s also wider, but the extra width doesn’t really give you more interior width though,…
