And that is different from many?/most? other recalls, how? Tons of first model year stuff has a recallable issue and the recall often goes all the way back to start of production to when they first found and then resolved the issue.

The MK7.5 interior is phenomenal. The MK8 is worse in every way. It feels cheaper, it has no physical buttons, it looks worse, etc. People loved the MK7 because it was not just a great “economy” car, but it was a great car. The MK8 really feels much more economy.
Maybe I’m crazy, but I thought some cars have seats & options specific to rental companies that aren’t available to normal consumers. I could have sworn some of the rental cars I’ve rented had less comfortable and harder wearing seats and fabrics than any non-rental version of that car I’ve ever seen.
I don’t have high hopes for this. I’ve been extremely pessimistic about VW in the US and even more recently, VW globally. They ruined the interior of their only class leading car here in the US (Golf R & GTI), their EVs are pretty uninspiring and outclassed by Ford/Kia/Hyundai/Tesla, the ID Buzz seems to lack van…
Yeah, but if you want to burn gas on a budget, as dumb as that sounds, you can get any number of cars that get similarly poor gas mileage for not all that much more half the price. See full most size trucks, Chargers, Challengers, Wranglers, Durangos, Armadas, Sequoias. I’m more making the joke why is it OK for rich…
The hate/fear of drums is way overblown. I own a vehicle with drums on all 4 corners and no power booster. Everyone acts like it is gonna take miles to stop. In reality, it will do a single safety stop within spitting distance of any other typical disc brake vehicle. For typical day to day use, the bigger limiting…
Any sizeable trailer should have its own brakes. I own a 53 year old truck with 4 wheel drums and no power booster, I’d happily tow any trailer that doesn’t exceed my GVW. The key is to actually drive like you have a trailer and set your expectations accordingly. That’s gonna mean I can’t drive at the speeds I do with…
Where ever you live, I’m sure there are rich folks driving around in other guzzlers like G63s, Aventadors, and Uruses. The US just likes to lower the bar and let the average person guzzle gas too instead of only the wealthy. Checkmate everyone with better fuel economy standards.
Sniper can display a tach if you want. The problem is both showcasing the ugly sniper screen that looks as svelte as a 2006 TomTom GPS as well as swap to hideous non-OEM looking gauges? The guy should be hung! Everyone knows you should only make one functional sacrifice for looks, not two. /s
I know. I mean, I still remember the day watching a coworkers Guilia Quadrofoglio burn down in the parking garage. No one trusts gasoline anymore, don’t you know that stuff is flammable?
What exactly about the Jag V8 and Ford V6x2 are bad?
As lame as it is to be just a Cobalt underneath, these things still are awesome in a crazy crackhead kinda way. The only downside (beside the cost both now and new) is how absolutely bonkers the exterior is, and then the interior is just Cobalt, with like no effort to make it as outrageous as the exterior.
I always thought a much closer competitor to the Supra was a Camaro SS 1LE or like a Mustang GT PP or Mach 1. I mean, I get why people would want a Supra instead, I just feel like those are a lot more realistic to cross shop against a Supra vs the current Corvette.
I want nice wool seats so bad. The only manufacturer I can think of offering them is Volvo.
I mean wedge shape doesn’t really mean much at all. The most famous wedge, the Countach looks pretty dang good aero-wise, but it’s pretty abysmal with a Cd of 0.42 while a JL Wrangler is .45. Not that much of a difference considering one looks like a brick, with beefy tires and big wheel openings, and lots of exposed…
This right here. It got so bad around me that I had to get Facebook again so I can continue to make poor financial decisions!
Sucks that VW is doing the whole upmarket thing
This is essentially a first year only and more rare LeSabre T-Type, but without the cool/ultracush buckets and in black only. Slow as shit, horrible handling, but for some reason I always kind of liked. Looks better in white.
A few national dealer networks wouldn’t operate much differently than direct sales.
