I’ve never noticed a Volvo that has the booster seat option to be uncomfortable. I always thought Volvo had some of the more comfortable seats on the market, regardless of the booster seat or not. I mean, I haven’t been in that many Volvos with booster, so maybe it’s just me?

And if you get the early C4s, you get the crazy interior too. But yeah, $25k will get you an amazing example of a C4.

That seems to be my problem as well. I’ll think I find an opportunity to use them, only to find out it wont fit either and end up just disassembling more of my car so I can get access with a normal open ended wrench.

Eh, crawl control, at least in its current form in the Tacoma, is pretty gimicky if you ask me. I have it on my Tacoma and it’s never really helped me. It just makes my Jeep friends laugh because of how loud, clunky, and herky-jerky it is when its on. It’s so basic that it doesn’t really “help” beyond essentially

2022 Arteon will get the power boost to 300hp, but the price will also increase ~$3k more than it is now.

It’s all voluntary though right? If that’s the case, I have no problem with it. However, if it’s a “here is a mediocre deal, if not enough people take it the old timers are getting the axe” type thing, then yeah, not so cool.

I guess I don’t understand what about the few extra inches of ground clearance makes the Crosstrek worse though? It’s not like the Impreza really handles any better . It’s just a slightly stiffer, with slightly less suspension travel, and more likely to rub it’s chin on stuff. They are still both non-sporty, pretty

I’m not saying you need a perfectly clean, zero emission ship. But if you can move the needle some amount, like maybe even a 10% improvement, that is a HUGE overall impact. Fifteen of the biggest mega-ships alone account for as much pollution as all 760 million cars worldwide do. Is it really more difficult to make a

My mind is still blown that we continue to not address massive elephants in the pollution/green house gas emitting room. For example, big ships. I’m down with greener cars, but come on, how about we take on egregious offenders that seemingly get off scot-free? Massive container ships and cruise ships still regularly

so now they last a very long time (4-5 years at least)

I find that to be not true after googling around. It looks like AMC body panels stopped being made in the 80s. Now you’re left with one guy (kudos to him) that essentially has them made under contract for only a few AMC models (and it’s pretty limited selection). Unless you can get extremely lucky and find new old

I feel like I’m missing out on some kind of inside joke.

Oh dang, I forgot about the STSV, that thing is awesome. Time to search for one and see what those go for.

I’ll push back on your push back.

Did a candy bar also cost a nickel back then too?

Also, cheap to keep running and generally reliable? This is the perfect car for someone who needs basic transportation on the cheap and can’t afford big repair bills or regular fill ups.

It’s not so much a drop; until covid they had been on a very very slow decline for a number of years unless you had a museum quality car. I mean, I don’t think it’s a good idea to look at cars as investments unless you’re uber rich anyways, but it’s probably good to at least be informed on current trends before you

Any idea how hard it is to find parts? If someone crunches a fender on you, or, you need a new rear window, how screwed are you?

When working properly, they are adequate as best.

I mean sure, but it’s Microbus not Microvan or Microcar or anything like that. I think we can all agree, that regardless of how big this will realistically be, it will still be substantially smaller than an actual bus and Microbus would still be fitting.
