Even in New52 Iris and Barry are meant to be together. The writers of New52 themselves said that Patty was temporary and it should've been obvious Barry was meant to be with Iris.

Iris will be getting a love interest in the second half of the season. But he's going to be her boss so I hope it doesn't go too far.
