No Full Contact Croquet from the Thursday Next books? There's a tea party hazard and the greatest players in the world are Neanderthals (if you can convince them to play).

Is anybody else hoping that Annie moving in with Troy and Abed sets up a final showdown between Annie (the adult in the house) and John Goodman's Vice Dean Laybourne?  I really want to see them battle it out for Troy's soul.

There are two kinds of atheists (in my experience): those who do not believe in god and those who believe there is no god.  Believers (even when they believe in the absence of something) are annoying.

I love Pratchett. I ADORE Pratchett.  I think he and sliced bread are really neck and neck.  But pacing and tight plotting? He pretty much sucks at those.  You don't read Pratchett because you want an elegant waterproof plot that slides from a to b to c.  His plots are hack jobs, but really you're there for the jokes

I have tenosynovitis (it's like carpal tunnel, but on your thumb side).  I am strictly forbidden from playing video games, texting, or scrolling through songs / changing the volume on an iPod.  I watch my BF play a LOT of video games.  And Assassins Creed is actually interesting to watch, unlike most games.  So I

What happened with Shelly and Sabrina being cousins?  And with brace-faced Sabrina working at the grocery store in high-school?  No way would a rich kid get braces that late in life.  Did the show just ditch all of its continuity?  I am very bothered by this episode.

And they closed the one in TriBeCa.  Now I can't afford to eat down there, unless I go to the Seven 11.

Taco Bell has been selling food in boxes for a while now.  Not sure why you're worried about it.

Hey! The Timothy Zahn Thrawn books were ok, I guess.  (I still have the last remastered widescreen VHS version of the trilogy.  Going to put that on DVD when I have kiddos and pretend no other Star Wars stuff exists to save them from disillusionment at too young an age.)

Anybody know if they ever collected the Katzenjammer Kids into a book.  Every year my grandmother asks for a Katzenjammer Kids book for Christmas.  There won't be too many more chances to get it for her….

Funner Fact: Most people in surprising bad situations FREEZE.  In The Unthinkable, Amanda Ripley shows again and again that human's response to disaster is to freeze. This is especially true of rape victims, who then blame themselves for not doing anything, because rape victims on TV and in films always fight back.

It was an actual novel.  I was a huge geek and my parents got it for me for Christmas one year.  I think my mom hoped it would get me reading SVH and I would be a normal girl.  Alas.

Gordon Korman is still writing books. Good ones too. Does readings in NYC occasionally.  Seems like a very nice guy.  You should check out some of his new stuff, although it is more serious and less "wacky."
