and it would be one thing to have the secondary issues fall to the side, but to be dealt with off camera. ("we passed on the details of the investigation into how Bennett got fake passports to fbi") It is another for them to show the fall out and ignore it completely.

actually, this is more of a theme of recent seasons. Dexter actively stops them from finding trinity, and he hampered the investigation into the 5 guys last season the same way. You could even argue he did that with the 1st murder of season 3. And with ITK in season 1, though these last two were more about self

really? this is how Deb finds out? Not because of the literally hundreds of quite obvious clues about him? Not because travis was out at sea the same day Dexter goes missing out at sea. But this way? Because Deb wanted to surprise him at a ghastly crime scene to tell him she is in love with him?

I think scrubs did dealing with loss and insecurity better than most other shows, nevermind other sitcoms.

Yes, that is what I meant by the last line. They were given a movie and then decided to push any resolution off yet again.
2012 is supposed to be the end of the world, and yet they thought it would be a good idea to release a movie that was completely unrelated to that.

This reminds me of the x files:
- Ok, 5 seasons and then we will wrap it up in a movie
- ok, 7 seasons and the movie
- Ok, 9 seasons and the movie
- Well, now we really promise, one more movie to wrap it up.
