I was shocked and disturbed by the episode ,but I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it heavy handed at times. When they were first kidnapped and handcuffed together, I rolled my eye a little bit because OF COURSE after Lucero exposes how homophobic he is, they would be but in a situation where they have to be in

I thought rape at first too ,but when Lucero was dragged out the bathroom, there wasn't any blood on his boxers ,and I assume if you are sodomized there would be amble amount of blood. I definitely agree they sexually assaulted him in some way looking for a tracking device. And if they didn't, the way they pounded his

I absolutely agree that Ben didn't plant the gun. I first thought so but then I kept re-watching the scene and it didn't make any sense for Ben to have time to plant the gun. He was holding his gun and freaking out when that other cop showed up. But this isn't the first ~real~ bad thing Ben has done. He punched that

I feel like we do see how he got there. It's been  slow and subtle ,and I had really connect the dots and think back to previous episodes/seasons. Once you do, you realize how amazing the writers are and that his storyline makes so much sense.
I was confused at where Ben's character was headed s3 and s4, but then

His recaps are the best. Highly recommend. Helps me really appreciate the show even more bc Southland really does work hard to be authentic.

I love the opening theme and I've never found it cheesy. Southland is a show that has so much going on each episode and it's not the normal procedural where every character on the show is working to solve one case.
