Eh, I don't think Early was being philosophical about Book - there'd been hints throughout the series that Book was something more than he seemed (Alliance ID, knew how to handle a gun so well, knew organized crime).  I remember hearing/reading somewhere that Early took out each member of the crew in a way that fit

Steel wasn't, but he was the exception - 3 of the 4 new supermen were clearly premised on being XTREME - Cyborg Superman (duh), Eradicator, and of course, Superboy's stupid bomber jacket.

Well Jewbilee is awesome but it's season 3.  The other two eps in that "trilogy" are meh though.

It's not clear he realizes it, given that his statements are made as if Lord Frey is very minor or that all he brings to the stage is "a bridge."  It's really really really silly.

They do in the books.  "A thousand mounted knights and three thousand foot" according to Cat.  It's kind of a big deal…it's like 25% of Robb's remaining forces.

Please someone explain this to me.  You're Catelyn, trying to convince Robb not to go through with this marriage and shame the Freys.  And you don't mention ONCE the fact that the Freys carry with them thousands of swords?

Am i the only one completely baffled by all the changes?

So did Robb, it seems.

Be Fair here: The Kingdom seemed to have been totally fine under Drunken Whoremonger King.  Perhaps a bit unstable and the realm was likely to break apart at any moment, but it was a good time for all!

@avclub-c240ee738371fdf1346de294e11c55f9:disqus It's a one use weapon.  Melisandre uses two in the book but claims she dares not make any more with Stannis because his "fires burn too low."

Its supposed to look like Stannis, not Renly you nincompoop.

Compelling 50 minutes.  Cmon we couldn't get 5 more minutes?

Give it up people. "Begging the Question" due to its usage in modern vernacular, now DOES mean "raises the question."  People who keep bringing this up are simply annoying Grammar Trolls.
