Yep, in a few of my favorite scenes that make me wish they did more together. She did accidentally kill a dude during that (though before Stefan was helping her) so I kind of understand Stefan's trepidation.

I cried so, so much at the end of this episode. I always cry when a character grieves, so to have all the characters I care about grieving for all the OTHER characters I cared about in a beautiful, melancholy scene really did me in. That makes a lot of sense, I think you're probably right. Thanks!
I had a serious issue with that moment. It was less "supportive friend" and more "judgmental jerk." Especially where/when she said it. Get off your moral high horse Bonnie, YOU'RE HELPING STEFAN.
The only people Klaus's blood can turn into hybrids are werewolves. There isn't any way to convert someone into a werewolf - it's a "cursed gene" or whatever - but if they're already a werewolf, and they drink vampire-hybrid blood, they get turned into a vampire. Just like the normal process, except they're werewolves…
I'm pretty sure ace_of_tv meant Klaus's actual dad - the werewolf. I've been wondering if he'll play a role too.
I agree with you on all of this, and I think Bonnie is an essential part of the show or it would feel like the characters were truly living on planet Looneybin. I happen to find Bonnie less compelling both because they've developed her much less than almost everyone else and the actress kinda bugs me, but objectively…
Thanks Carrie, I appreciate that! :)
Thanks, yours too! :)
I think you're right that the show doesn't address it as much as it should/could. Perhaps it's because these characters are supposed to be "heroes," even as they do these objectively reprehensible things - so maybe we're supposed to also buy into the shared madness, come to love these characters…
I've done a lot of thinking about how this show is morally different from Buffy, which, while similar on the surface, is actually profoundly different. Buffy's overarching theme seems to be doing the right thing even when it's the most difficult thing in the world. TVD's theme, on the other hand, is doing anything…
Candice and Zach haven't been "confirmed", have they? But the way they go on about each other on Twitter and spend all their time together makes me suspect it's true. Super adorable if it is, they both seem like sweethearts.
I think not all of the actors have full season contracts so they have to be written out of a few episodes, even if their absence is a little glaring. I missed Caroline a lot too, she better be back next week!
I don't know if you watch Supernatural, but Damon and Stefan's relationship reflects the best tortured yet unbreakable aspects of the Winchester brother relationship that I love deeply. The only problem is that where SPN focuses 100% on the Winchesters, TVD always gets side-tracked by girls and other vampires and…
