Psych researcher here. The reason that Carney renounced her own study is (partly) because of a large, very well-done follow up study by a separate group of scientists trying to recreate the same results. That study did not find any effect of power posing. I agree with you, but this happened and had a large influence…

It’s not the quality of the teaching, it’s how students evaluate. Seems that students don’t give female professors enough credit for good teaching. Hmph says the female professor whose ratings affect her tenure chances.
