Reminds me of that reporter that was heckling Buzz Aldrin about the moon landing being faked and calling him a liar and Buzz sprinkled the sidewalk with his teeth.

This has always been my thinking. If Loose Change proves 9/11 was an inside job, why is Loose Change still available? If the government is both willing to and capable of murdering its own people as part of any conspiracy, why isn’t every open-eyed believer—well. Dead?

That’s all conspiracy theories, I think. Obviously this one, due to the physicality of the thing, but like, the more people you meet and places you go, the more you see how interconnected we are, how similar, and how complex and beautiful the world is. If you live in the town you were born in and leave your state to

He made Neil Armstrong cry!

Yeah, maybe even with modern technology they could let you go from the isometric view to over-the-shoulder at any time. Would allow for more complex missions and locales. With just a slightly cartoony art style it wouldn’t be too hardware intensive. I mean, look at what Deep Rock Galactic can do.

I feel like they could look at the Bravely series for ideas on how to remaster 9—keep the dedicated chibi art style but still look modern and gorgeous. Bravely Default 2 in Switch looks—and plays—great; there’s no reason it can’t remain turn-based and have cute art and still have major appeal.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve played, ten years or so, so I’m not gonna commit to anything overmuch—but things outside the Mist Continent feeling barren sounds like a legit criticism, I feel like that tracks. The early adventure, right up to Cleyra and the party’s defeat, was gold—and then the most standout

FFIX Remake Part 1, which ends with the Wild Hunt in Lindblum where Kuja shows up to fight Zidane as a god that destroys the city.

*shudder*

I’d love to live in the timeline where the Helldivers team looked at Aliens Fireteam and realized they could do Starship Troopers better than Aliens and then, like, do that, with Helldivers.

Oh, okay. Yeah.

Mr. Ratt and I have been predicting the gas wars as the Thing that gets us (and as our excuse to be a little lax on cholesterol—gotta find happiness somewhere in all this, why not have that frappuccino), you think those come before or after the water wars?

Those are all only on PC though, and that’s what I was getting at—there’s a real dearth of (third person) tacticool shooters on console, but the fanbase (on console) is clearly hungry, and loyal, and knows (and is vocal about) exactly what they want. They are a smaller market, most definitely, so yeah, I get why AAA

I was referring to myself—for me to play anything from this franchise again, a reboot is required. That’s how bad Breakpoint was, how miserable it felt to even play. And since it’s from Ubisoft, the bar for playing is even higher—they’re just the worst. There’s *so much* crap they’ve pulled in the last few

It is deeply weird to me that this is how reality or anything else works somehow, but here we are.

Breakpoint holds its spot as one of the most broken-on-release “AAA” games I’ve ever played. The lack of polish was so staggering, its designs were so clearly in the realm of “minimum viable product,” that even now, after years of tweaks and changes, you can still feel how rotted and incomplete the foundation was

You probably wouldn’t be able to gain any additional height from climbing on one another—the player collision is pretty wonky in these games so while I won’t say there’s no scenario in which you could make *something* happen, I really doubt it.

Please see above where I already addressed this (also, this is true only *technically*, as in, it’s possible to not level, but it’s not the reality for most people, and the games aren’t designed around you *not* leveling so calling it a “crutch” is pretty misguided in my opinion).

I definitely like build variety too! Bloodborne is my favorite—each weapon feels unique but also has a deep move set. DS and ER are a little less deep than I would like, with more reskinned movesets and weapons, but even still there are lots of builds to go for.

Exactly! If I’m just gonna mindlessly grind (and I mean, like, for hours, not just, oh, five minutes to get one more before I start making runs at the boss), because organic play isn’t enough, and the end goal is to do/take the *same* damage I was doing for the *last* boss (or zone enemies), then why not just let me

Well, like I said in my other response, it’s not about whether you *need* to, since yeah, sure, you can beat the game at level 1 (although I think it should be noted that I’ve seen a lot of people on the reddit saying that there are some big difficulty spikes later and the general consensus is—if you’re a normal
